Greetings from the AVIC Chairman

José Ignacio Arrieta

Welcome to AVIC, the Basque Association of Engineering and Consultancy Firms. I am delighted to respond to your interest in our organisation, which was founded in 1983. As you explore our website you will find that AVIC brings together both engineering firms (civil, industrial, environmental, etc.) and consultancy firms (strategic, corporate, technological, etc.).

It is this diversity in the context of a single project that has enabled AVIC to become a benchmark organisation in the knowledge industry in the Basque Country. In these times of uncertainty AVIC continues to promote and protect the best interests of engineering and consultancy firms, providing services and creating the right conditions for improvements in competitiveness among member firms and the advanced services sector in general. Our short term challenges are several.

First,we try to work to give more visibility to AVIC to different institutions. We also intend to continue cultivating the areas of collaboration and cooperation, both among AVIC companies as with other public and private entities. In addition, we strive to continue to offer quality services to our members. All this, taking as a reference the Code of Professional Ethics of the Association.

I invite you to join in this project to bring consultancy and engineering firms together so that we can all emerge stronger from the crisis. On behalf of AVIC, I thank you for visiting our website and hope that it helps you to get to know us better.
